The Value of Creativity
In times of adversity, the way forward is always to stay grounded in values.
(PS - Read to the end for a special gift.)
Our core values here at Master of One Coaching:
Creativity
Generosity
Empathy
Discipline
Optimism
These are the values from which we make every decision.
It's the place from which we strive to lead.
Every day.
This month - in the midst of all the disruption around us all - we are digging into our values starting with:
Because when leaders stay true to your values, the path ahead becomes clearer.
And from clarity your visions for a better world emerge.
We believe in you:
your vision, your dreams, and your ability
to make great things happen.
Speaking of which…
CLIENT SHOUTOUT:
Who's the Best in the Hudson Valley??
Why, it's Keely Sheehan, of course!
So very excited for this wonderful artist/entrepreneur who just WON Hudson Valley Magazine's Best of the HV award for Interior Design.
Keely Sheehan Design (link below) may be new on the scene, but this gifted founder is no stranger to design or business. With her training as a professional actor, set decoration credits in Hollywood, and her visual art featured in Hudson Valley galleries, Keely uses her keen eye to transform and beautify homes across the region.
Whether a major reno for a celebrity client or a small bathroom overhaul for a neighbor she shows up with her expertise, her integrity, and her genuine care for each person she serves. And to think...this business was but a glimmer in her eye just a few years ago. Isn't awesome to see where a dream can take you?
Congratulations, Keely! You deserve ALL the awards!!
Did you know…?
Creativity is among the TOP desirable qualities in leadership!
According to a recent article in Forbes:
“Creative leaders have the ability to take an innovative approach to problem-solving and utilize new ideas generated independently and collectively with others to inspire change and take action.”
(But you knew that already ;-) ).
Dontcha just love a little validation?

A few months ago I had the tremendous pleasure of seeing the brilliant opera singer, author, and visionary Renee Fleming speak about her new book Music and Mind.
She said something that has stuck with me ever since.
To paraphrase, she suggested that to live a full a meaningful life, she gives herself the challenge of engaging in “one esthetic experience each day.”
Reading poetry, listening to music without distraction, singing in the shower, journaling without editing, going to a gallery or creating some art yourself - yes, even “bad art” (which, of course, for these purposes there is no such thing).
And so, dear leader, I offer you the same challenge.
Here it is:
Try it for one week.
One week of purposefully, intentionally, building your relationship with creativity - whatever that means to you.
And when your week is up - report back with your findings.
I am all ears!
